Spotify Wrapped 2020 is out now! Unless you’re living under a rock or don’t own social media, you would have come across this yearly craze. Spotify Wrapped gives you a yearly summary of what you have been listening to throughout the year including: which artist you to the most, what genre defined your year, how many minutes you spent listening to music, and much more.

Spotify released statistics on artists and songs that were streamed on their platform in 2020 such as:

Bad Bunny - The Puerto Rican rapper received the most streamed of the year with a grand total of 8.3 billion streams. Bad Bunny also received the most album streams with his hit album YHLQMDLG.

Blinding Lights by The Weeknd - The hit pop-rap song was streamed almost 1.6 billion times making it the most-streamed of the year. The song was also the top Billboard Hot 100 song spending 4 weeks at No. 1.

The Joe Rogan Experience - Despite his recent arrival to the platform, The Joe Rogan Experience was the highest performing podcast of 2020! Coming in second was TED Talks Daily.

The 1980s were the decade of music that were most listened to throughout 2020.

Songs such as This is America by Childish Gambino became trending once again during the Black Lives Matter movement.
